Allison Langer is a Miami native. She graduated from the University of Georgia and has an MBA from the University of Miami. Allison travelled the States taking pictures for fun before landing in Telluride where she worked for the brilliant ski photographer TR Youngstrom. Allison moved back to Miami in 2000 to launch her own photography business which she ran for almost 25 years. She has recently retired from photography to focus on her health, her children and her writing. She is a single mom to three children, ages 9, 12 and 14. She teaches memoir writing in prison, coaches writers, edits essays and manuscripts and has been published inThe Washington Post, Mutha Magazine, Scary Mommy, Ravishly, Modern Loss and 50GS Magazine.
